I'm not sure where to start with this one, but it's definitely unique. For those of you who haven't heard of it, the much talked about Lip Glow is one of those products that is different on everyone as it claims to respond to your own body chemistry to produce a beautiful, unique pink lip. I'm not sure the science is on point, but bottom line: the colour in the bullet is not the colour that appears when you swipe it on your lips. The lipstick bullet is a pale baby pink, but applied on my lips, the Dior Lip Glow translates into a medium-dark just bitten pink. (See photo below for reference).
The formula is really quite divine and feels much like a gloss-balm hybrid. It's intensely smooth and hydrating, and leaves a sheer but noticeable wash of colour on the lips. It's a challenge, describing the effect this lip product has because there's definitely colour but your lips almost look bare from the finish of it. What I can say is that it's definitely pink, so if you don't like pink lips I would avoid this. Because of the balmy texture, staying power is sacrificed, but I do notice that again, because of the lightweight, barely there feel and look of it, it fades so incredibly naturally.
So the question remains, 'should I splurge on the DIOR Dior Addict Lip Glow'? This is a little bit trickier to recommend because it'll appear differently on each person's lips, but if you generally enjoy a sheer, pink, natural looking lip it's worth checking out. I tend to go for this on days when I'm trying to achieve a natural look but want something a bit more interesting. It's a welcome change from the nude and my lips but better lipsticks, and certainly a well-loved member of my lipstick collection.
